Health Day Düsseldorf – Experiencing Digital Health Firsthand
August 23, 2025

At the Health Day in Düsseldorf, visitors were able to try out digital tools for prevention and health promotion themselves. Start-ups such as PREVERY, viatolea, neuroTime, Elona Health, and Caona health presented digital companions that open up new ways of self-care. In addition, HealthCaters’ HealthCheck offered a holistic view of personal health. The special touch: curiosity, exchange, and networking were at the heart of the event – creating a forum that made start-ups approachable and gave citizens the chance to experience digital applications firsthand.

Innovation Day Breast Cancer in Düsseldorf – Empowerment Through Exchange
January 24, 2025

More than 130 patients and professionals gathered at the Düsseldorf Arcaden to explore new approaches in breast cancer aftercare. The diverse program included:
- inspiring talks by experts,
- short pitches from innovative start-ups,
- hands-on workshops,
- plenty of room for personal exchange
- and the moving art exhibition “einevonACHT.” by dasBUUSENKOLLEKTIV.
In a small Market Area, start-ups, companies, and self-help groups also presented themselves – creating a space for discovery, networking, and participation. Workshop #2 with Step into motion

The second Co-Creation Workshop with Step into motion focused on community building. Eight dedicated women with breast cancer experience discussed key questions with the founders:
- How important is community for people in cancer aftercare?
- What does “community” mean to you personally?
- What should such a community provide?
Participants shared their personal experiences and wishes, giving valuable feedback for the development of a digital community within the Step into motion platform. To round off the day, the women joined a mindfulness session with singing bowls and aroma therapy led by Sarah Spitzner – a relaxing close to an inspiring workshop.

Workshop with Prevery
June 21, 2024

At the Healthlab NRW, ten interested participants tested core features of the PREVERY platform and app for individual health promotion and prevention. Their honest feedback helped the founders identify specific improvements and shape a clear roadmap for further development. The focus was especially on two core modules:
- Holistic Health Questionnaire – reviewed for clarity, completeness, and usefulness.
- Health Radar – a tool offering lifestyle-based recommendations, discussed and further developed together with the participants.
The workshop made it clear: co-creation shortens development cycles and ensures digital health solutions truly meet users’ needs.

Workshop with Dexter Health
June 17, 2024

In this workshop, nine caregivers tested the Dexter Health app for digital care documentation in real-life care situations. Using the “think-aloud” method, they shared their thoughts and impressions directly while using the app – open, honest, and practical. The test showed: the app has the potential to significantly ease the daily workload of caregivers. At the same time, valuable suggestions for improvement were collected. This direct feedback helped identify concrete steps to further enhance the app’s user-friendliness – so that digital solutions can truly support caregivers in their important work.

Workshop #1 with Step into motion
February 2024

Together with seven women with breast cancer experience, the founders of Step into motion further developed their platform for digital health coaching in cancer aftercare. Key topics included self-empowerment, body awareness, and social support. The open exchange revealed the needs of patients and provided valuable input on how the platform can be tailored even more closely to them. The workshop showed: digital aftercare solutions gain real value when they are shaped directly with patient experiences and needs.
